EDHEC-Risk Institute is one of the leading international academic research centres. Its mission is to build bridges between the academic and professional communities by informing the industry of the latest research in asset management and by exchanging views on topical issues.
In 2004, EDHEC-Risk Institute launched a series of research conferences targeted at the financial services industry which have now become a point of reference in Europe, of which the most recent edition–the EDHEC-Risk Days Europe–was organised in London on 27-29 March of this year and attracted over 800 delegates. Having expanded its offering to Asia in 2012, with the inaugural edition of the EDHEC-Risk Days Asia conference being held in Singapore on 9-10 May, 2012 and also attended by over 800 industry professionals, EDHEC-Risk Institute is now launching a North American-focused investment conference to enable research results to be compared with the practices and needs of investment professionals in the North American region.
In 2013, the Institute will host three events in order to provide finance professionals in Europe, Asia and North America with the state-of-the-art applied research in investment and risk management.
Save the dates:
- EDHEC-Risk Days Europe, 26-27 March, 2013, The Brewery, London
In 2012, in order to better satisfy the requirements of institutional investors, EDHEC-Risk Institute decided to merge its two flagship annual conferences in Europe (the EDHEC-Risk Institutional Days and the EDHEC-Risk Alternative Investment Days), into a unique three-day event, EDHEC-Risk Days Europe, which brought together more than 800 European institutional investors and investment management professionals to discuss the results of EDHEC-Risk Institute’s latest research both in the passive and institutional investment management fields. The conference has now convened in London and will be organised annually in the largest European asset management centre. The 2013 conference will be held on 26-27 March, 2013.
- EDHEC-Risk Days Asia, 15-16 May, 2013, The Ritz Carlton, Singapore
In 2012, the Institute exported its conference concept to Asia in order to give Asia-based finance professionals easier access to state-of-the-art research in investment and risk management and to establish a dialogue around research results with particular relevance to investors and institutions in Asia. The inaugural conference attracted over 800 participants ranging from end-investors, traditional and alternative investment managers, wealth managers, investment bankers, and policy-makers. Building on this success, the EDHEC-Risk Days Asia 2013 will be held on May 15-16, 2013.
- EDHEC-Risk Days North America, October 8-9, 2013, Crowne Plaza, New York
In 2013, the Institute will export its conference concept to North America in order to provide finance professionals in the region with state-of-the-art applied research in investment and risk management. The aim will be to help participants to learn, engage and discuss research insights produced by professors and researchers from EDHEC-Risk Institute, with a particular focus on the North American investment industry. This conference will focus predominantly on indexation and passive investment issues. The inaugural EDHEC-Risk Days North America will take place in New York on October 8-9, 2013.
The EDHEC-Risk conference format provides an unrivalled platform for industry practitioners and academic representatives to meet and exchange views on the current topics of most relevance to the investment management industry. This unique research is produced by the professors and researchers from EDHEC-Risk Institute, allowing results to be compared with the practices and needs of investment professionals. EDHEC-Risk’s independence, the original approach, which leaves time for both instruction and discussion during the sessions, and the highly selective speaker panel, make the EDHEC-Risk Days series of conferences the must-attend annual event for investment professionals who are concerned about maintaining best practices, in both technical and conceptual terms.
Sponsorship opportunities for the conferences are now open, further details of which may be found in the enclosed brochures. For additional information, please contact:
