CFA Institute approves EDHEC as provider of professional development programmes

EDHEC Asset Management Education (EAME) has been admitted into the CFA Institute's Approved Provider Programme.

The decision by the leading association of investment practitioners means that pre-approved executive education courses offered by EAME will be considered “safe harbour” professional development (PD) activities for the 91,000+ CFA Institute members worldwide.

The PD programme helps practitioners keep abreast of industry trends and achieve personal learning and development goals while demonstrating their commitment to lifelong learning and earning recognition for their efforts. Twenty credits of approved professional development activities are required every year to obtain recognition under the programme.

“EAME has received approval for each and every seminar in its fall and winter catalogue and plans to bring additional professional development opportunities to the market in 2008,” says Professor Frédéric Ducoulombier, Director of EAME.

“The participation of EDHEC in the Approved Provider Programme considerably increases the offering of high-quality executive seminars available to our members,” says Nitin Mehta, CFA Institute Managing Director for Europe, Middle East, and Africa. “Eligibility is granted only to courses with significant industry relevance, major and sustainable educational value, and highly qualified and unbiased instructors,” explains Doctor Seán Finucane, CFA Institute’s Director of Education in the region.
